NEW DIRECTION FOR LEADING PHOTOGRAPHIC SUPPLIER

 Monday 4 July, 2011 – One of Australia’s leading photographic suppliers, Sydney based Foto Riesel Camera House will be under new ownership and take on an exciting new direction.

After 31 years with owners Mark and Elizabeth Alderson at the reins, industry expert, John Wallace will become the new face for the business effective immediately. 

‘This is such an exciting opportunity for growth,’ says newly appointed Foto Riesel Managing Director, John Wallace.  ‘Whilst we will keep the same level of service and commitment to the specialty camera market, we will be focusing on new ways of servicing the imaging market both online and through our two retail outlets.’

With more than 20 years in the trade as a photographer, retail manager and key account manager for industry icons such as Sony, Konica Minolta and Nikon, John plans to develop Foto Riesel in to a world class retail space that is a true destination store.

‘We will expand our depth of products on offer to provide the most extensive range of cameras and accessories from our key brands Leica, Nikon, Canon, Sony and Panasonic,’ continued John.  ‘We also plan to provide a complete end-to-end solution by partnering with key brands such as Apple, Adobe and Canon printers.’

Foto Riesel’s training and education programs will also see changes with an expansion of offerings to assist enthusiast and professional photographers to get the best out of their imaging equipment.

Former Managing Director, Mark Alderson, will move on to other projects both within the Camera House group as Chairman as well as outside initiatives.  He will continue to play a mentoring role to John and the business for the near future.
