Billingham

M Billingham & Co was formed in 1973 by its present owners and is still a family business. We employ skilled people, some of whom have been with us for many years. Our first factory was opened in 1977 in Old Hill, just a short distance from our present premises in Brierley Hill.

You will have gathered that the area is rather hilly, it is also the centre of many varied skills. A visit to our local Black Country Museum is a must if you visit the area. Everything from bricks and horseshoes, to sections of Concorde have been manufactured in the locality. The area has been the Company home for over a quarter of a century

Conceived, designed and made in the United Kingdom, Billingham bags reflect an English preoccupation with excellence and attention to detail.

The company's transition from a manufacturer of fishing bags to one of camera bags came about in 1978 when Martin Billingham, a keen photographer himself, discovered that the fishing bags he made were being used by New York photographers. So popular were the first models that, within a year, almost all production had switched to camera bags.

We are genuinely committed to giving you good service. Our name is on our products, so we have good reason to try and get it right. The Billingham family has been in the business of designing and manufacturing camera bags since 1978 and we have many thousands of satisfied customers all over the world.

As consumers ourselves we understand our customer's need for information and confidence in making what is an important and substantial purchase. A camera bag is essentially a tool and, as such, has to perform well under a variety of conditions. Some customers have said that the purchase of a Billingham camera bag has actually improved their photography - what more could you ask for!

Hadley Small

Following on from the success of the Hadley Original, we have introduced this smaller version. Just as its bigger brother it can be a well-equipped camera bag or with the photo insert removed, a business case or a posh beach bag.

In use, we recommend the flap straps are adjusted to length by usning the buckle; the Quick Release System, i.e. the teardrop shaped hole which slips over the brass stud, is used for regular opening and closing. This way you will gain maximum benefit from the Q.R.System.

The 555 is a newer addition to the range with all the features of its smaller companions. The main compartment includes four full depth pockets. The single zip top opening has been retained but has also been reprofiled, so that it is now possible for the zip panels to lie behind the inside pockets, so forming the Billingham TukTop. In use the zip can remain open and protected with the main flap. The simple zip path ensures long, trouble-free life.
